We were out on the water and saw a ferry headed out of road town, seemingly headed for virgin Gorda or anegada. Suddenly it cut it's engines in the middle of the sfd, came to a near stop, circled slowly a few times before motoring slowly in the direction of Salt Island before we lost sight of it. We were not close enough to identify the ferry. Just idle curiosity, but anyone want to hazard an explanation?

In the days of yore when I was running charters, the family that owned/managed Salt Island would do big family reunions out there once a year and they would run a ferry over. Don't remember what time of year, but saw it several times. No idea if this is what you saw or not.
