We are fortunate to be on a Westjet repatriation flight Tuesday Mach 24.I was wondering how much before flight to arrive at airport. Was told three hours by airline.but first hand information from this group may be better.
Thanks

Do as the airlines instruct you. Three hours is always the best for international flights.

Thanks,I always do.I was just concerned may be worse in view of extra testing. This being offset by fewer flights.
I guess I’m being over cautious. Was hoping someone who just left could comment

It's my understanding that they are not doing ANY testing at the SXM airport. I would definitely get there three hours in advance anyway, and make sure you take some food, as there's no guarantee the food places will still be open. They were still open a day or so ago, but I wouldn't count on it.

Glad you are getting out, I wondered what was happening with you, since you posted the other day and didn't update your situation here. Make sure you print out the French side form to travel to get to the Dutch side. Please update us here when you get the chance. Best wishes.

We came home on westjet yesterday, we checked in and went outside before clearing customs. Customs had zero lineup, but check in took about a half hour. We arrived at 12:30. People were really heeding the socially distancing rules. Be aware that you still have to take your shoes off. Bring plenty of disinfecting wipes. The airport people were wearing masks and using gloves but they are still handling your passport. Had to show our passport 3 times. There was food, drinks and wipes on the plane. The plane was supposed to be full but the flight attendant told us there were about 20 seats empty has people that were not Canadian were denied access.. hope this helps.

Also we left about 15 minutes early......we were advised that there was a chance that we would have to wait on the tarmac if there were other flights ahead of us, we were fortunate that it didn’t happen but be prepared to go with flow

Also you can check the flight status for flight 2652 on Tuesday around 930 to be sure it left Toronto on time......They had 14 passengers on board on Sunday.

Yes, our internet at home is HORRIBLE, because it's satellite, and we often have trouble getting on from home. If Florida is locked down, we will only be able to get on the internet if we can get into the office, I think. Just like after Irma, it's impossible to know what's going on without it sometimes.

We finally escaped yesterday.

The airport was extremely easy to navigate and three hours is more than enough time. Once checking bags, it took us about 35 minutes to get to the gate. All of the normal food concessions were open.

Even though the website indicatied our Air Antilles flight was still a go, when we arrived at the airport, we were advised they had not been flying for days. We are overjoyed our St Martin 2020 adventure is finally over.

Now, that is a truly sad comment on the state of affairs in SXM right now..

tbaybob--sorry to hear that, regarding your wife. Not exactly a dream vacation, huh? Safe travels home.
