KLM planned to soldier on a year a little longer keeping the 747 flying, but the Corona virus accelerated their plans and the last scheduled KLM passenger flight flew from Mexico City to Amsterdam on 29 March.

Sadly as well, Qantas accelerated their 747 retirement with last flight 27 March.
