What an excellent, detailed report - thanks for sharing!

Just curious as to the situation for private boat owners - any restrictions on taking your boat out alone from your dock?

There has been no restriction on that scenario. There is a program in place for vessels to register who are anchored here sheltering. The bays are very crowded with local and visiting live aboards and crewed charter boats. There is a "long term anchoring" registration in effect https://dpnr.vi.gov/environmental-enforcement/anchoring-mooring/

Beaches opened back up on Monday. No alcohol permitted, only allowed to interact with immediate family, social distancing required.

There is no "ridiculous quarantine" in the USVI - other countries have imposed stronger immigration/entrance by vessel rules however. Some of the anchored vessels are USVI residents in USVI registered vessels living aboard full time. Some of the anchored Vessels are crewed charter vessels with paid full time crew aboard waiting out the business/airline stoppage - they are not entertaining charter guests. Certainly some of the vessels are cruisers -- some will leave to go South when it is opened and some will leave to go North to the Mainland. In many cases cruisers are dealing with insurance company restrictions for Hurricane Season and the latitudes the vessel will be covered for starting June 1st [generally] Most of the boats are cruisers who are waiting out the ridiculous quarantine
