Monday 11-24-03
We arrived on St. Thomas late in the afternoon.
Seems we arrived the first day without rain in a great many days.
Had dinner at our hotel, the "Emerald Beach". The food was excellent!

Tuesday 11-25-03
We discover that our Hotel is a very popular Wedding site, with one today. The pool area gets closed off to all but the Wedding Party. The beach is small, quiet, secluded, and VERY clean. At night you are lulled to sleep by the waves.
Took a cab to "Secret Harbor" for our arranged meeting with Nutmeg. Had a nice sunset happy hour. (OK, a nice [color:"blue"]
cloudy happy hour, but after the 5th Bushwhacker, who cared!)
Dinner at "Off the Hook". Food was the best of all the places we tried. So good, we both bought T-shirts, which cost as much as the meal!

Wednesday 11-26-03
We took the Atlantis Submarine Tour, leaving from Havensight. It was fascinating to see marine life up so close. Discount tickets are in every publication available.
Lunched at the Havensight cafe, small but good, and then shopped the entire Havensight area.
At 5:00 PM on Wednesdays, the Tram to Paradise Point is free. Up you go to another Sunset Happy Hour, fabulous view, many more Bushwhackers, and a lite dinner.

Thursday 11-27-03
Spent the day at the beach. We had thought our Florida sun powerful, but there's no comparison. A few burns, some bug bites and some pleasing beverages from the outdoor bar near the pool.
Dinner was at "The Banana Tree Grill" in Bluebeard's castle. As usual, the food was exquisite. (Anyone got some extra diet pills?!?!)

Friday 11-28-03
We took the general St. Thomas guided tour today. Run by a company called "Tropic Tours" who were very professional and organized. We'd recommend them highly. And if you're flexible about what day you wish to take this tour, ask them for one that "Reggie" is taking. He was great.

We stopped to admire the view, take photographs, and refresh at the following spots, in no particular order:
Beacon Point
The Great House
Mountain Top
Magen's Bay

We were then dropped off downtown for 2 1/2 hours to do more duty-free shopping, then driven back to the hotel.
Had lunch at Cuzzin's, a great little place.

Dinner at the hotel tonight. They had a "West Indian Buffet". We were able to try many things we hadn't even heard of before. It was great.

Saturday 11-29-03
We went to "Coral World". It was wonderful.
Dinner at "Room With a View". You MUST try their French Onion Soup!
Also, try their lasagna!
I'm Italian, and this meal wasn't as good as mom used to make, it was as good as [color:"green"]grandma used to make!

Sunday 11-30-03
Another day resting at the beach.
Dinner at "Craig & Sally's".
The menu here changes every day.
Whatever you have will be great!

Monday 12-1-03
Today we toured St. John. We took the ferry there and got a cab driver willing to do a tour. With 4 other people recruited, the price went down from $45 to $16 per person. Places sighted, in no particlular order:
Westin Deluxe Hotel
Fish Bay
Jost Van Dyke
Coral Bay
Huricane Hole
Whistling Cave
Tortola
Peter Island
Virgin Gorda
Maho Bay
Distillery ruins
Caneel Bay
Cruz Bay
Trunk Bay
Watch for the little "Sugar Birds" (Probably a kind of finch?)

Because of the timing, we took the Red Hook Ferry back, so we got to ride on each kind of ferry. Dinner was at "Hook Line and Sinker" in Frenchtown.
This was our least favorite restaurant.

Tuesday 12-2-03
Our last full day was spent shopping downtown. Or, at least,
[color:"brown"] one of us was shopping, and the other was walking and carrying!
Dinner was at "Fagioli", right in town.

Then, we cabbed to Havensight for the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony.
There were live bands, stilt-walkers, plenty of refreshments, and of course, later on, shopping.

Wednesday 12-3-03
Homeward bound...
