Hi Everyone! Just back from Paradise and I am exhausted! I think I need another week vacation to get back to reality. Just a recap of the 16 days then will report later this week.

Arrived on 2/12 in St. T then ferried over to West End. Rented car from Hertz (will get into that later), stayed 2 nights at Tamarind then left for JVD at the Pink House for 2 weeks. Following is my personal review ratings of what I can think of at this moment (which is not much).

1. Hertz: make sure you take a copy of your agreement with you and have it handy. I saved over $30.00 a day on my rental because I had proof of quoted price.

2. Tamarind Club. Food excellent, accommadations good, location, personnally I like staying in WE better but that is only because I don't know the East End very well.

3. Pink House: View excellent. The rest I will have to go into detail later except to say that the beds were the most uncomfortable I have ever tried to sleep on, therefore I did not get must rest. I will go into more when I do my complete trip report.

We mostly cooked at home but here are the ratings for where we ate when we went out.

Restaurants:

Brandywine: I live in Boston, married to a man who came from Naples, learned to cook from his family (most of them still live in Italy which I have visited a number of times), do my food shopping in Boston's North End (Little Italy to those of you not in the know), can my own tomatos every year and can't stomach sauce made from cans. So in light of this information, in a rating of 1 to 10, I give Brandywine a 12!! Davide, you really out do yourself. Congradulations! (we really wanted to take some of that homemade scamoza (is that how you spell it?) home with us.

2. Palm Delight: Awesome, love their gingerwine chicken!

3. Tamarind Club: Almost up there with Brandywine! A definite must.

4. Ivan's and Foxy's: Love their bbq's.

5. Corsairs: The food is excellent although the waitress (I can't remember her name) is a bit crude. She made us nervous to ask her anything and we are not a meek crowd. 2 of us were in the food service industry for close to 15 years and I have to admit that if I waited on tables with her attitude, I wouldn't have lasted long. But like I said, the food is excellent!

We did not get a chance to eat at SandCastle this year. Oh, I forgot to mention, taxi's. Bunn's taxi service is the total best! This man has a heart of gold and we all trusted him intensly. His cab may not be the best, but he made up for it with his honesty and reliablility.

I will get into the full report sometime within the next week but in the meantime if there are any questions, feel free to ask.
