Hi,
We have a 14 days sailing trip booked to BVI coming up in ten days, ORY->SXM->EIS.
The Airline (Air Caraibes) have rescheduled us to another flight as the don't operate ORY-SXM anymore (no one seems to know why, maybe someone had an apparition stating that "You shall NOT fly to SXM", what do I know.) I cannot find the Winair flight for SXM-EIS that we have tickets to on winairs web site. I figure that leaves us with the risk that we are stranded on St Martin (landing on Grand Case 13:th dec) for two weeks until our flight back on the 27:th. As I love St Martin too, been there four times so far, that's not really so bad - if it wasn't for all our money spent on a boat that we won't be able to use as it's on Tortola.
Therefor I'm looking if there is a "cheap" apartment/villa with at least three bedrooms (four adults and three teenagers) that we could rent. All the booking sites is stuffed with luxury super villas and resorts but we cannot afford that at this time, given the facts above.
So do you know of any houses or apartments that's available for rent with short notice and doesn't cost much? Yeah, I know Santa usually only comes on the 25:th, I do live pretty close to the Noth pole, but I figure that given the situation at hand maybe there is a surplus of accommodation as a shortage of tourists.
A bare boat with four cabins could work as well of course even if I think that will be to costly for us.

I'm really confused by the scenario you are describing, but suggest you check out VRBO. There are a TON of places for rent in Orient Village. Should be something available there that would work.

Thank you for suggesting VRBO, I've never heard about that site before. Please ask if you find my post confusing, I AM confused right now and apparently that shows. Edit: I checked VRBO quickly and they have sort of the same mix of extremely pricey accommodation as booking.com etc. This post was a cry for much cheaper alternatives. 4000-12000 $US for two weeks is unfortunately completely out of the question right now.

Captain--What is confusing to me is talking about the airlines, and going to the BVI and I can't figure out if you're looking for contingency plans, in case you can't get to the BVI or what.
Regardless, happy hunting on VRBO.
