Our family doctor has arranged for us to have the test done by the hospital that he is affiliated. The results will be electronically posted in our "MY CHART" account. We will have to print these results and submit them to SXM. Has anyone else tried this and/or does this method satisfy all the requirements for test results?

Thanks in advance for any input.

We finally ended up taking this route for our Nov/Dec trip. It’s pretty much foolproof as long as you get the correct test done in the first place - RT-PCR. I had significant problems getting the test locally and was forced into taking this approach. The only thing I would suggest, once you’ve tested negative and applied and been approved by the SXM EHAS site, would be to print paper copies of everything jic you’re asked to show them. I know people rely on the downloads to their cell phones but lose or misplace your cell phone and what have you got.

Re your trip - I hope you have a wonderful time. We were there for a very low-keyed two weeks and it was wonderful being back. 😊😊

Respectfully,

pat

I had to have a covid test done for shoulder surgery so I did a dry run with "my charts". I am not computer savvy, to say the least. I ended up printing my results, scanning them then attaching the scan to the EHAS form. Somehow it worked. Nowhere on my paperwork does it say "RT" and it still went through. My back up plan is to print everything and take it with me. If you figure out a better my chart scenario please share.

Our doctor uses the EPIC system (and MYCHART). And yes, the printed thing from it worked fine for us when we were in SXM two weeks ago. JUST FYI...Our printout was two pages long...and you might think the second page is not necessary. However, it was at the bottom of the second page that it said when the test was administered...which of course, you need to get in. Thank goodness for my husband who is so organized and had the second page!

Just returned form 9 days on Island
Should work if you are staying on Dutch side. But, like my wife and I, her application was approved the first time in a couple of hours. After not hearing a response on my application (sent same time and test from same lab) my application was rejected. However, due the not hearing from Dutch MOH for more than 24 hours, re-submitted (2) application and was approved. However the rational for non-approval was that the report did not have a lab address and did not indicate the method of taking the swab. After consulting with lab they revised test report. I was ready to re-submit again but received an approval on the two other application forms (that had the same info as my wife's).
However, we were spending the first couple of days in Orient village and the French require a 72 hour test. (something that we did not check into and Dutch side condo did not tell us) They are free, but spent about 3 hours in line waiting. (your hotel or place of residency must send some type of documentation with you to the test site or they will not perform test. The test is quick and results quick once you jump through all the correct hoops and wait in line.
Once you are in, the French pretty much do not track or care about you. Minimal masks and distancing on French side (that we observed).

The Dutch require daily temperature reading to be submitted on-line to Health portal. (not sure what they do if you do not submit? but we submitted). Dutch side required mask to enter most stores, bars and such. More mask waring and distancing on Dutch side. But other than minimal restrictions the Island is open for business.

We had the same thing and we made sure that the MYchart included the details rather than just a summary. We made sure that the detail included all of the required information.

120 hours is the deadline for Princess Julianna, Dutch Side, the French side requires 72 hours if you are staying on the French side

The 120-hour rule applies to getting approved for entry to the Dutch side through SXM. You need a test within 72 hours to stay on the French side, or you’ll have to get tested when you arrive.

You can avoid testing again on the French side once you arrive if you have a PCR test within 72 hours before your departing flight to SXM or a rapid test within 48 hours before your flight. If you can’t do either of those, you’ll have to get tested for free on the French side within two days of getting to the island. We were able to avoid the second test by getting the PCR tests done the Monday morning before our Thursday flight.

All of this is supposed to be monitored by your hotel or rental host. Some have said they weren’t asked for the more recent test, but we were. I guess it just depends on where you’re staying. However, it’s supposed to be a requirement.

Candj, You address my exact concern. What process did you use to have the required information included in the My Chart report?
I asked my internist if he could include the needed information in his "order" that went to the testing lab at the hospital and he said no.
