Greetings

Just making sure - I poked into the portal and it appears apparent that I can't submit all the data until I have a negative PCR test, 5 days in advance of arrival. So, I need to wait until those results get back, fill in portal information - right? That would be 3 days (estimated) prior to arrival. Just making sure that is correct as I don't want to get there and not have the travel cert.

I was hoping I could fill in basic information and come back later for the remainder.

Just nervous about the turn around on the BVI side that close to departure / arrival. But, don't see any other option.

Will

No. You can fill out, pay for, and submit the application anytime. There will be a question asking if you've taken the PCR test, you select No and then the next question asks you to acknowledge that you need to take one.

2-3 days before travel, you will receive an email with a link to your application and a request to upload the test results.

I've spoken to several people who needed help getting the email with the link but now we have the right contacts to get that done. If you get within 48 hours of departure and don't have the email, reach out to the Steering Committee contacts. If that doesn't work, I'm sure we can get it sorted out.

Greetings

Maybe someone here can assist.

Our trip arrival is 2/11. I went into the Gateway and added everything, paid and submitted. I now need to wait to upload test results within the 5 day window.

My question is how?

I can log into the Gateway and see my application is in Pending Status. There are no edit options or anything that I can see to open my application and add the test results. I submitted the application on 1/19. I emailed Gateway BVI on 1/21 to ask for clarification. No reply!

I am wondering - should I have waited to within the 5 day period to create the application in the first place?

I am nervous about getting into the 5 day window and it continues to be a one way street on communications of the process.

If anyone has gone through this please let me know your thoughts.

If I need to submit a new application and wait until I am closer (that is the only thing I can think of to explain no response) please let me know.

Will

We didn't do this, but I have heard from others that if you don't submit a test with your initial application you will at some point receive an email with a link that lets you upload the test to your existing application.

WillM - We followed the same path you are on in December. It worked out fine...you will be notified inside the 5-day window to upload your test results (and anything else that might be missing...like proof of insurance)....but it was stressful not knowing what was happening. Inside the 5-day window an upload option will appear on your application.

Next time, I think we will wait until we have the test results in hand before even starting the application. One time through the review process and your are done and approved. There is no advantage I am aware of applying early.

Have a great trip.

Husker
