Breakfast at the Yacht club with The Best Bloody Mary’s on the island with shrimp cocktail and eggs benedict for me with a Spanish omelet for David. Today is just as breezy but sun was out for longer periods of time. Stayed on the pool deck most of the day at Beachside Villas.

It’s so hard to leave Beachside Villas during the day because we enjoy having the ocean on our back door and the comforts of the villa. Sand gravity definitely is a thing.

Thursday night is Prime Rib night at the Greenhouse in Simpson Bay. We dropped by Tuesday to make a reservation and also to reserve the King Cut $30.99. I didn’t pay attention to the oz. of the Queen or King but I can tell you one King was enough for the two of us with the Bang Bang Lobster. We didn’t eat lunch so were very hungry for supper. Half way through the prime rib was when I realized I hadn’t taken a photo.

We shared the prime rib which came with two sides. We selected mac & cheese and mash potatoes. The prime rib was cooked perfectly at medium per our request and in addition to the sides served with au jus and horseradish sauce. Also on the “special” menu tonight was a bang bang lobster tail special. If you’ve ever had their bang bang shrimp or calamari it was similar but with lobster. Lots of lobster meat, fried with bang bang sauce stuffed inside the lobster tail. That was equally as good.

No dessert so a stop at Maho Market for me to buy a Dixie cup of Etna vanilla ice cream. I’ve been there several nights and choices are vanilla, chocolate and rhum raisin. I so wanted the pistachio but they didn’t carry it even in the pint or quart size.

Posts like this make me wish there was a “LIKE” button. Btw, John’s been known to eat his way through the large Aetna rhum raisin in three days with no help from a friend.....

We feel much as you stated about staying at BSV - staying there makes it hard to leave to try other venues. With the airport out the front door and the ocean out the back door, not to mention the lovely and generally underpopulated pool deck, why would you want to leave? It gets harder and harder as we so appreciate and enjoy all the amenities the Mascarins have provided.

Respectfully,

pat

OMG, that food looks so good!!!!

That Bang-bang lobster makes me want to take a change on eating spicy food.
Use to eat the bang-bang shrimp all the time.

You are getting like us oldies, in the true sense of the word, staying home at BSV.
We hardly ever venture out to Orient, but all the food pictures you have posted, looks like we should try it.
Mullet on a calm day has always been our choice---floating in that blue water!
