My wife and I began our 8th trip to sxm with an early morning drive to JFK for AA flite 667. The plane was about 1/3 full. Took off on time and arrived early – to a not so nice day. Drove to Orient Bay Hotel and then to Orient for a late lunch.
Breakfast : made in room and ate on patio every AM. Great way to start the day.

Lunch: Orient: Bikini Beach (OK), LaPlaya (very good), Baywatch (OK – medicore CheeseB - plus 15% was added to the bill – anybody else notice that?), Ms B’s - OK

Dinners: (some places were 1-1 for cash)
Le Fish Bar at Orient – just OK .
La California (1-1) – very good pizza and salad
Little France (1-1) – very good entrees. Ate there twice. Excellent service
Le St. Germaine (1-1 with a 5$ off internet coupon plus happy hour 5-7 (2 for 1)) - Ate there twice. First time very good – second time excellent. Great price and service both times.
La Belle Epoque – very good. Luv their pizza.
Peg leg Pub – just OK.
Le Tropicana – excellent
Au Grain de Sol – just OK. Would not return. Pizza took forever – place was basically empty
Sol e Luna – beyond excellent !

Other : Gas at Alain’s was 1 to 1 - spent 15$ for the 11 days. Orient Bay Hotel was very good – will return next year. Weather was great – only one bad afternoon (other than arrival day). Went to Dawn and Orient. Orient is getting a little old – will add Cupecoy and Mullet Bay next year.

Departure: Checked into AA early am – then back to room for breakfast. Got caught in a huge traffic nightmare between Marigot and the airport. AA Flite 660 full - left and arrived on time.

Just another great vacation at SXM.
