After sailing alone for a couple of weeks, we will have family staying at a Villa on Mahoe Bay in early June. I am trying to figure out the best place to anchor/moor to pick up folks in the dinghy. We will be in a 47ft monohull. We have entered Savanah bay in the past, but although further, perhaps Longs Bay would be better all around. Any advice would be appreciated.

On a separate note, our first day will be out of Nanny Cay, with perhaps a late start. So looking for mooring balls rather than anchorage. Has the mooring fee at Great Harbor been reduced to $35? And any experience grabbing a ball At Benures or Soldier Bay?

Thanks

Great Harbor is $30 if someone is collecting as are Benures and Soldier Bay, which have 14 and 4 balls respectively.
You might be thinking of Sprat bay, which charged $60 back in the day.

You could try Pond Bay
