We traveled SXM to JFK on Saturday. Printed boarding passes Friday evening and we went straight to security. COVID test checked 2 times at SXM. Airport experience went smoothly with a full plane. Ramp used to board and since the plane was parked close we walked. At JFK no one asked for our test results. Waste of money. Vaccination not mentioned anywhere.

Really, what a shocker! Now I’m really discouraged about all of this covid stuff and travel! Well at least you had a good flight!

I questioned it. The airlines check the documents in SXM. You wouldn’t get on the plane without it. I agree it should be checked upon entry to the US. But I guess because you wouldn’t get on the plane without it that’s good enough.

Why would you be discouraged?? Everything went smoothly. Couldn't ask for better experience.

I disagree. If the test was checked--twice--in SXM, why should you have to show it again?

We used the zigzag ramp on our Friday flight to Miami and walked to plane too. Made it really nice. Covid test only checked in SXM at check-in counter as I expected.

That sounds good. I sure hope our plane to and from Miami uses a ramp.

Idk. I would think once on US soil they would want to double check since it’s the US requesting the testing. But doesn’t bother me! Makes it quicker to clear.
