Are there any? Trying to help the kids with the honeymoon plans. They are debating between PR and VI. I think there would be more non tourist places on PR. Would they be able to take a ferry over to the VI for a day?

Thank you,

There is a very occasional ferry. One leaves Thursday, May 1st from St John and Red Hook going to Fajardo. It returns Sunday, May 4th. Call Transportation Services of St John 340-776-6282. BTW, the ferry is the Caribe Cay. Its usual route is Red Hook to Cruz Bay. I'm not at all sure I'd want to go to Puerto Rico on it.

P.S. There are plenty of non-touristy spots in the VI.

going to PR would not be bad, the return trip would be awful.

Having spent a lot of time in PR I would pick the USVI over PR for a honeymoon. We honeymooned in St. John and it was perfect! I would not pick St Thomas. BVI would be great too but St. John is a bit less crowded.

I agree, It doesn't get better then St John for a honeymoon.
Excellent restaurants and service, beautiful beaches Etc etc etc.
It's a magical island.
