Well, Tropical Storm Fred was kind of a non-issue for SXM, but there is another orange X crossing the Atlantic....

Doesn't look like it will amount to much but time will tell.

No way to tell right now, but it's listed at 40%. Track looks to be at least close to SXM, if it develops.

I'm happy to be far south at the moment, if I were in SXM I'd be inside the lagoon somewhere and following each NOAA update carefully so I could escape outside during on the bridge openings...

I don't blame you for being far south. It seems like every year there are more and more storms. Just glad that you were finally able to get the h*ll out of the BVI. Following your trevails of trying to get clearance to leave was nerve wracking to me. Can't imagine what it was for you!

Martini--No, not as far as I can see no tropical storm watch for Sint Maarten, as of yet... From the 11 AM advisory .......... "The government of Antigua and Barbuda has issued a Tropical Storm Watch for Antigua and Barbuda, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Montserrat. The government of the Netherlands has issued a Tropical Storm Watch for Saba and Sint Eustatius. SUMMARY OF WATCHES AND WARNINGS IN EFFECT: A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for... * Antigua and Barbuda, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Montserrat * Saba and Sint Eustatius"

Hopefully won't be too big a deal, as it's a really small storm, only 25 miles across of tropical storm winds, as of now.

Tropical Storm Grace is a potential threat no matter how small and 6 inches of rain predicted for SXM can cause dangerous flooding in prone areas. Haiti just had a major earthquake this morning and any storm would not be good for that poor island.

Closest approach is now 100 miles south at 5 something tomorrow morning. This is good news for us. Just had a little rain shower.

Pretty much a non event here. A little wind and rain but nothing too bad. Going to be a little rain off and on today.

The maho beach cam looks pretty cloudy, but not even any rain at the moment. Good deal!
