You are absolutely correct, Elaine, and what saddens me most is I believe the bulk of the Mullet debris is left behind by residents rather than visitors to our beloved island.
I can’t tell you how many Monday mornings Towers guests would stage their own little clean-up campaigns to get rid of the debris. And the Mondays or Tuesdays after holiday weekends were unbelievable.
And of course vacationers add to the debris but not to the degree the residents do. Kudos to those taxi drivers and anyone else who pitches in to spur the clean-up campaigns.
