The hillsides and golf course are green right now. And why shouldn't they be, with all this rain? Yesterday we had at least three extended downpours -- each enough to cause mini-rivers along the roads and ponds in the low spots. Last night and this morning, more heavy rain. People's cisterns must be filling up nicely.

Early October can be like that. Look at this way, another reason to get up and get another beverage! Hope the rest of your time is cloud free!!

And the rains seem to have removed the Sahara sands from the atmosphere -- meaning that Saba is visible again, for the first time in days. Not just Saba -- also Statia and even St. Kitts. I'm showing a photo of St. Kitts, taken this morning.

I think there was a tropical wave that was due to come through there around now. Rain is certainly good for the locals. Tough for vacationers, but it needs to rain sometime! Glad to hear it has cleared out the dust though, as a couple of days when we were there, it was like pea soup!
