TravelTalkOnline Forums Travel and Vacation Forums US VI and Puerto Rico Crew needed for sail to the BVIs from Annapolis

Hi Folks -- I am sailing our catamaran back down to the Virgin Islands in November. We have room for some additional crew if anyone is interested in gaining offshore experience.

Tentatively plan to leave Annapolis 11/7/21 and sail directly to St. Thomas then clear customs into the BVI. Total time at sea would be 9-11 days. Crew can disembark in USVI as well.

I made the trip up from St. Thomas to Annapolis on Orion this August and it was an amazing experience.

We will have satellite connectivity, generator, watermaker, code zero, as well as a weather router. Crew would get their own cabin and private head. Offshore sailing experience a plus, but not 100% necessary. I am doing some shake out day trips to get the crew ready over the next two weekends out of Edgewater, MD, if anyone is interested in getting a feel for it.

Sounds exciting, but you are three years too late for me. I moved from Edgewater to South Florida three years ago.

Hope you are ok. I know the storm was close to you. We PM’d you a few days ago and haven’t heard back.

Was just told SV Orion was sold last year, SailOrion is Mark and new owner is Sailing Orion. SV Orion apparently will remain with TMM fleet.
