We owned gorgeous TS units at the Towers and used them every year for about thirty years so of course we were devastated when they were damaged by Irma and then financially ruined by the owner and management.
We couldn’t believe the way they treated us but fortunately, we had already discovered the Beachside Villas and the Mascarin family and their brand of ‘Friendly Island’ hospitality.
Every trip back, and there have been quite a few to date even if we don’t have the longevity factor so many have staying there, we discover how it is to be treated by someone who really cares about what they’re running.
From the reservation process - dates, rooms and even special needs, to the way they care for and constantly update their property, we appreciate all they do to make things work. Every trip we find something they’ve improved or upgraded and in the unlikely event you have any kind of problem, they’re right there to see it’s resolved ASAP. And this trip is no exception.
It’s too bad all the island properties aren’t as proactive but I guess that’s life, right?
Respectfully,
pat

Yes, we do enjoy every trip there and know why so many people come back, year after year.

Yes Pat, I have to agree, BSV is a gem. We been staying there since 1999, pre hurricane Lenny and only skipped it while Yolanda and Telly were re-building them. I can’t say enough of good things about Mascarin family and how they run this wonderful enclave. Can’t wait till this Saturday to get there.

You can walk to El Zafiro next door, either day or night, but that's the only thing you can walk to at night. During the day, if you're fit, you can walk to Karakter or Mary's Boon. It's maybe 1/4 mile along the beach, but there is no shade, etc., to go to Karakter or MB. If you're REALLY fit, and are up to walking about 3/4 mile, you can walk to Sunset and all the restaurants at Maho, but again, NEVER at night.
As far as the airport, there are only about a half dozen big planes that come in on any particular day, except Saturdays, when there could be about twice that many, but still, no JFK airport noise. To ME, personally, I love seeing the planes come in and leave. It's one of the many things I enjoy about staying there. The big planes don't come in until around noon, earliest, so they don't interrupt sleep.
If you are thinking about BSV, best to check with them ASAP, as they are often full this time of year!

The only time we ever find the planes, big or little, is when we’re out at the pool and having a one on one discussion. But the thing is, you stop talking for a few seconds and the noisy plane is gone. We love it there.
We enjoy our morning coffee snd whatever on our porch with the ocean as our backdrop and often enough we’re doing the same thing for lunch. I never get tired of the ocean as my backyard and dear husband thoroughly enjoys the airport as his front yard. And the pool allows you the pleasure of the water without the beach sand in places you didn’t know you had places. 😊😊
