Saturday - had to change rooms. Checked out, had breakfast at Zee Best. Ran to Phillipsburg to pick up jewelry, and then went for lunch at Grand Case lolo's.

Sunday - breakfast at Zee Best. Picked up wine at Maho Market and then some sandwiches for the beach from Zee Best bakery along airport road, but ended up eating at Kakao on Orient. Lamb-shank and ribeye. Saved the sandwiches for dinner. Missed the TTOL happy hour.

Monday - spent the day at Karakter. Rained a lot. Then, as if missing the TTOL happy hour the previous evening was not bad enough, we were an hour late for the wine tasting hosted by Jeannie. We were truly on Island Time by this point! It’s one reason I hate to make commitments and have to be someplace at a certain time when I’m on vacation. The rest of my year contains enough of that!

Wednesday - watched six cruise ships roll in as we had breakfast on the balcony. Ok, this was NOT going to be a Philipsburg, Marigot or beach day that the cruisers would be expected to find….so it was off to Friar’s Bay and parking ourselves at Friar’s Bay Beach Café. yum! Their rum punches are delicious, and I had the beetroot gazpacho. I am NOT a fan of beets, but this was awesome.

Thursday - Philipsburg for breakfast at Chesterfields. Shopping, then stopped at Yvette's for lunch takeout which we brought back to our pool . Dinner at Le Santal, and a vanilla soufflé for my birthday.

Friday - almost the end, so it was back to Orient and Kakao. Bought two pieces of Calabash tree art from Rasmo. Finally, something truly being sold along Orient that is made on the island and a great souvenier.
Back to our pool where it was time to swim with rainbows.

Back to reality and the hustle and bustle of the Holiday season bearing down on us.
