OK, no problem, do stickers, they should do that, versus having to replace plates every year. That is smart. But QR codes? Why? Just have expiration dates on the stickers, like they do here in the US. Don't over-complicate things, people!!

Supposedly the codes can be read from traffic cameras and if expired owners will be notified.

Who cares? Who is going to be monitoring the traffic cameras? And the traffic cameras could see dates better than a code anyway, one would think. Better just have clearly legible dates. Duh. Stupid simple.

Just making things too complicated. Good on them for saving the environment from the wasteful practice of having to have a new physical license plate every year, but then totally over-thinking the whole thing. This obsession with QR codes is crazy.

Yes the QR thing is ridiculous. That needs to go away. Went to a high end French restaurant here in Miami and the menu was on QR code. We were less than thrilled. Waiter had to bring us printed menus. It's one of the worse inventions and I think will go away. Plus, can a red light read them if driver runs reda light? Speeding? This is just much ado about nothing. Cops don't do enough now anyway. i
