Have you had experience with getting approval for EHAS application when entering SXM by way of MX? There is a question on the application about whether you've been to a different country in the 14 days prior to visit to SXM. We will be in MX. Fly to LAX then take red eye to Miami and land in SXM the next day. I'm now worried that our MX visit will be an issue for application approval. I think I see that cruisers are required to test 48 hours before arrival- perhaps we should test even though we're vaxed? Thank you for your suggestions!
Can't wait to be there- even though the reports about the French side blockades and protests have us concerned. Generally, we sleep on the Dutch side but like to spend a lot of time on the French side eating, drinking and beaching.
I enjoy reading all the trip reports on here. Thanks for posting!

It seems clear that no one has had this particular experience, but I will comment that you'll have to be tested to return to the US anyway, so I would think the EHAS folks would be aware of that and it wouldn't be a problem. Just conjecture on my part. If I were you, I'd call or send an email asking EHAS the question to get an accurate and official answer.

Thank you, GaKaye!
And yes, I sent an email to EHAS but haven't yet had a response. I think I'll try again...
17 more sleeps til we're on the beach...

Wow, that certainly is a complicated flight schedule! You are much braver than I would be, booking that!!
Are you vaccinated and boosted? Because if you're only vaccinated, and not boosted, for sure you would need to test, to enter SXM. I can't tell what the total time period that we are talking about here is, as to whether it is possible for you to get a PCR test, one day before entry into the US, and the same test would be within less than 48 hours from when you are due to leave on your flight to SXM from Miami? For entry into SXM, you can do a PCR test 48 hours out. If it were ME, I might plan on trying to do the PCR test, if the timing would work for you. If you don't get an answer to your email, you might try to call also.
