Are there any particular licensing requirements or fishing rules to be aware of on SXM? We’re staying at a beachfront villa in a couple of weeks and my kids have asked about fishing. It will strictly be catch and release if we were to catch anything but just wondering about any laws/requirements to be aware of. Thanks!

Unless it is a nature park/reserve than you don't need a license to fish in the sea off the shore.

Due to Ciguatera Poisoning it is not safe to eat the reef fish you catch, therefore the catch is just for sport. (so I've been told)
