Got an email from American that the flights we had for our return Wed June 1 were no longer.. I saw that the same flights were offered for Friday June 3rd. After a long wait for a call back they were able to reschedual me for the Friday flights for my original First Class seats. The big change was the connecting MIA to SEA flight that they took off during the week but have on weekends. Only reason we were leaving mid week was the FF miles difference. We booked originally with 60,000 miles FF because it was going to be 90,000 each for the Friday flight. So i still got the flight for 60,000 after all. dance

Yes. It was nice. That was the original date I wanted since we had accomodations for our timeshare through that week already.

American could not have been more accommodating. Especially with the low miles I originally booked with. I even get home all in one day with no overnight to SEA.

Going to SXM for a June 3 arrival, I booked (last July) a two-leg redeye through CLT. They recently cancelled that flight except on weekends and routed me on a redeye through CHI, which I wanted no part of. So now I am having to overnight in MIA. They were very nice about making the change, but I am not thrilled with having to overnight. So far, my return in early July has changed just a little; no cancellations yet but am overnighting in DFW.

Ouch. Don't like to overnight. We fly the redeye May 6th to arrive May 7th SEA -MIA-SXM. 4 hr layover in MIA but can go to board room. Look into flying through SEA. It's a short hop for you and AA partners with Alaska.

But it's only a half hour flight. My daughter did it going to SXM. She lives in Vancouver WA and Alaska transfered all checked bags to AA staight to SXM from SEA. Same on the return.

I also just got new reservations for my car rental from Hertz as i had to add 2 more days instead of the plus 4 i had originally. With that in mind they just charged for another full week because with them you pay for 5 days and 2 days are free. My total came to $734.45 for 4 full weeks. Only $32.00 more than i originally booked. If I get bumped from my flight I still have car and condo till Saturday too. Pretty happy about that.

I have done it in the past. It's not the plane but everything before and after. No jetways. Had to carry my roll-on up some stairs in the rain.

You must be renting a larger car than I am. My quote for four weeks is $678. I have a second quote for the additional full week I am staying after that.

Mine is a Mid size starting May 7 through June 4. As far as Jetways we have always had them at SEA for Alaska/Horizon and AA. When we took a flight out of Portland for Palm Springs we didn't have them on Alaska.

Love to do that but we fly out Friday June 3 at 2:26 PM to MIA. Maybe we'll cross paths at PJIA.
