Stayed in the bight last night. Busiest I have seen it in years. WillyT was interesting with a huge showing by the Puerto Rican Navy. Knocked out a quick dive this morning and headed to Cooper to grab a FCFS after losing the boatyball lottery. Arrived at 10:45 to find no balls left. Headed back down and have Deadman’s bay all to ourselves. Grandkids spending hours on the beach. Boatyball might have done me a favor!

We returned home 4/11. We thought everything was extremely busy when we were there. Led us to decide to book “off” times going forward - Early November, second and third week of January, early June. We just don’t enjoy it as much when it is super crowded. That magical location you are in George was our quiet place for a few hours during our last trip - until several crewed yachts and some of the “Navy” arrived……

We did end up with two monohulls joining us. One came in after dark. Strangely neither used a snubber on the anchor chain despite 20 knot winds. I want to head up to the dogs and North sound tonight but grandkids are screaming Cooper. Lost the lottery yet again but might try for a FCFS.

The only lottery we won this trip was in Cane Garden - which was also packed the Sunday we visited.

We had some great dives at the Dogs this trip.

Enjoy!!

Yes, they are putting foundations in for what appear to be restaurants and lodging. Quite a bit of progress since our last trip in January. We were there on a weekend so no activity - I can imagine it would be loud while work is ongoing.

It was dead quite yesterday at Deadman’s. Decided to audible and make Cooper a lunch stop so granddaughter would not hate me. All FCFS balks taken. We got a good one at 9. Any TTOL members heading this way? I will save it for you. If not we are going to auction it off at noon! Opening bid 300!

How has JV Dyke been for moorings? We’re headed down in two weeks and that may be the only place we shoot for a BoatyBall.

Super busy when we were there 3/27-4/11. Were at JVD twice for three nights each stay. One morning I counted 42 masts in Great Harbor alone and 12 in Little Harbor. No idea how many power cats were also in Great Harbor. Boats were anchored everywhere in White Bay - even on the outside of the channel markers. I have never seen it that busy (but we never travel over Christmas and New Years).

We dove the dogs this afternoon after leaving Cooper. Best vis I have seen in a long time. Did great dog first. They are down to 4 balls there now. Sure wish they would replace a few. We were going to dive Bronco Billy’s for a second dive but a boat was on there when we arrived and still there 3 hours later. No dive gear on the boat and everyone just lounging. Headed to Savannah Bay for the night.

Curious is it possible for two people to login to boatyball using the same boat name? If each went for a different ball might increase the lottery outcome. Of course it’s possible you end up with two reservations.
