Since Friday, April 29th is a national holiday for carnival do you think Mullet beach is going to be packed? Do any of the places that rent chairs have cushions like on Orient.

My back is starting to not appreciate these beach chairs.

Mullet will probably be slammed along with other Beaches. Only place on Mullet that'll have padded loungers will be the new place that just opened at $30 for a set of 2 and umbrella.

Go to the French side. It will not be AS slammed as the Dutch side.

Thanks everyone. That is what I was afraid of. We've been at orange fever and it's been nice. On orient, most of the places at $30 have been pretty empty this week..

Wow, are they still getting $30 on Orient? I thought by the end of April the prices were usually back to $20.

It's been slowly creeping up. from $20 to $25 and now some at $30!! Use to be that most beach fronts waived the fee if you ordered lunch and drinks. Doesn't seem to be that way anymore. SMH!!

What does the original Mullet charge these days for chairs? Are they still so uncomfortable?

If I'm not mistaken he is the one in front of The Watering Hole. The far left end looking at the water. Correct?

No, he's with Rosie's. When entering, to the right.

If you are talking about the chairs in the picture that David posted, I find those chairs HORRIBLY uncomfortable. You sit down and the back of the chair hits you in the head.

Yes. I hate those kind of chairs and many places use them.

For the last several years, we've always asked Chester to set us up with the strap chairs. Those were they kind the original Towers had on the beach. They have about 5 positions which is great for relaxing or reading

These were wonderful, but we were told they don't belong in the front row!
That was by a young man, not Chester, (He actually watched us change the blue seats to the strap chairs and never offered to help!)
We didn't realize that they share the seats at Rosie's, so be sure to sit toward the right.

He also asked for $20 and Chester said $15 was okay. I thought it might be because he has know us for years.

We went for the chairs with straps, because they are so much more comfortable. The blue chairs are very worn and hard to
get comfortable.

I will easily pay an extra $20 for nice pads on the chairs. I look forward to trying the new place on Mullet.

I prefer the Isle seat

Mullet can be slammed anytime but a holiday.. no doubt. Make ressies on Orient at one of the beach clubs for some nice deep padded chairs and let the sand gravity take you.

If you consider the normal rate at the other two places, less than $20 extra. Actually don't go to Mullet as much as I would like because of the chair options, now we will more often.

I prefer the Isle seat
