Woke up to rain this morning. After it cleared up I took a walk along Simpson Bay, from El Zafiro down to The Horny Toad. Marc wasn’t up for a beach day, so we paid a visit to Parotte Ville, one of our favorite excursions on SXM! This trip did not disappoint. George took us on a tour, updating us on the changes since we last visited in 2020. There are lots of new baby birds! After about an hour, we ventured outside and enjoyed a nice cold beer, watching the other visitors having a fun time with the beautiful birds.

It was noontime, so we drove to Cul De Sac, hoping for lunch at Le Taitu, but they’re closed on Sundays. A short drive to Grand Case and we settled in at Captain Frenchy. Cheeseburger/Fries and a Mahi Poke Bowl were both quite tasty. Our server must’ve been new as she couldn’t answer any questions about the menu, and her service wasn’t attentive at all. But that didn’t distract from another fabulous lunch.

Our evening was spent at Café Rembrandt with friends. Great music and great friends! We arrived home just before the skies opened up. It rained for quite a while, and I was disappointed that the storm blocked the view of the lunar eclipse.

Sounds like a good day all told. Sorry the weather hasn’t been at its best but good to know you’re making the best of it, as you so often do, and still having a good time. Enjoy!!

Respectfully,

pat

I know there was a blood moon last night. Wasn't aware of an eclipse.

Thanks. Wasn't aware of it.
