Does anyone have recent experience with the ferry from Anguilla to Marigot? We'll need one-way transportation in November, and wondering how reliable that ferry has been lately. Trying to decide if it's worth the savings to just ferry to Marigot and see if Alain can pick us up there instead of one of the smaller transports to the airport area.

The Calypso Charter is only $75.00 per person and takes you right to the airport. I’d say that’s very reasonable.

I don’t know the prices anymore but we did not particularly enjoy the public ferry. We found it cramped and smelly but this was a few years ago. Dare I hope it’s gotten better?

Respectfully,

Pat, the only time we took the public ferry, we were able to sit on the upper deck in the open air, so it was reasonably pleasant. I think we'll go with GB Express this time, so we don't have to be concerned with getting over to the Dutch side after we arrive.

We took the public ferry for an overnight trip in May. I forget the name of the boat, but it was bigger with a big upstairs. We sat outside and it was lovely, but if I wanted to guarantee being able to get fresh air, I think going private charter is the right call.
