Dear all,

As an apartment owner at Residence Hôtel Mont Vernon, I am so happy to find the pool to be reopened soon - see the two (hopefully correctly) attached pictures shot two days ago!

With all apartment buildings now fully renovated, with a new Mini Market (groceries), the professional laundry and the still going strong restaurant/pizzeria in the residence, the pool is a kind of final landmark of that we all eventually won (over hurricane Irma).

Not to sound like a kill-joy, but isn't it to close to the beach like the pool at the Weston????

It actually looks to be a fair ways away from the water to me. Many places on island have pools much closer to the water.

The totally renovated pool is located at the very same spot as the original pool (back when the residence was a hotel) - i.e., upon the sand of Orient Beach, only about 30 meters from the ocean water.

We talked to the craftsmen just a few hours ago. They believed that the opening will be on Saturday (March 11, 2023) - let’s hope!

We loved that pool when we rented at Mt Vernon. It was a great place to stop on the way back from club o at the end of the day. Glad they have finally rebuilt the pool.
