Checked into our place The Copley House http://www.copleyhouse.com/ around 4 on Thursday. We unpacked and got the room organized and then grabbed a Lyft (we were the drivers' 1st customers ever) to Harvard Square. We grabbed some beers and apps at Grendel's http://www.grendelsden.com/ which just so happened to be the location of the opening scene in The Social Network where Zuckerberg is being condescending to his then girlfriend. The beer selection was good, very hipstery though with homemade signs saying they don't have Bud/Miller/Coors so don't ask. We got homemade pretzels and then sausage with stone grain mustard and some other great sauce to dip.

From there we went to Mr. Bartley's http://www.mrbartley.com/ for their infamous burgers. I got the Beyonce with the smoked pepper jack from the Snoop. It was a cajun burger with a kick, very tasty.

Finally, we hopped on the train and got out over near beacon hill and walked to the original Cheers http://www.cheersboston.com/main_locations_beaconhill.html. We polished off some delicious (tastes so fresh and amazing unless it's just mental) Sam Adams Oktoberfests and cabbed it back home for the night.

Pick up with Friday tomorrow!

Hi. I made this it's own thread, so it is clearer it is a trip report. Looking forward to the rest of the story!

Have been to Boston twice and would like to return next summer for a long weekend so very interested in hearing your report. Thanks for sharing.
