We went to Maho today and parked in the Sonesta's garage and eventually ended up at Karacters. Along the way I took these pics. I didn't know that there are rocks there infront of BSV.

Thanks for the photos I tried to explain how beach looked to Carol and didn’t know how to post pix.

Last week the rise was a bit higher and we had no way onto the beach. I pushed a path with my feet and finally got down but then I couldn’t get back up. Some passerby’s from Mary’s Boon helped me back up Finally someone came later in the week and pushed the sand into a slope so we could get onto beach. I swear the rise was 2 ft high.

The problem is the sand has been brought up by the tide and needs to be raked or shoveled back down to the water to make a beach again.

Nature will take care of it. Many of the beaches have large rocks/boulders under the sand or rock and coral ledges that are usually covered.

I mentioned this also a couple of weeks ago and at the time the waves were reaching the small concrete wall. I had not brought my phone with me so no pics then but as you say the drop was steeper.
