Does anyone have experience with this airline? I can get from SXM to SJU on Silver and then back to the states on a domestic carrier from there. Thanks.

We used them about a month ago. Everything went ok, about 20 min late leaving but its a quick flight, small plane but nice. I think they only fly 2 days a week now and for us it seemed a little pricey. Not much of an option to get to SJU from SXM. We did not check bags, at that time of the day customs was very quick. You would think SJU would be a perfect place to connect if they offered service everyday and at reasonable prices.

Good morning,

I flew Silver from sxm to sju in jan. they were efficient and on time.

my experience was unique, in that 3 strangers were selected for the explosives scan. then i was escorted to the front of the line. all 3 of us were vip for a few mins, being escorted first on the plane to our assigned seats.

once on the plane, our stewardess was having nothing of the stupidity of some of the passengers boarding nonsense.. it was like herding cats.

and finally in the air, she was a pleasant and professional stewardess. it was those few passengers i could have done without.

id fly silver again.

Flew them one time out of Key West. They left my bag on the tarmac...over night...in the rain. Other than that it was fine. 😜

Silver is a rebranded airline that merged with Seaborne not long ago. They are the old Gulfstream international airline. They have been involved in more questionable things by far than most regional airlines. They currently owe a lot of money. Make sure any tickets purchased are on a credit card.
