Franklin is moving away and skies should be clearing. The system coming off Africa is moving west but for now not a threat. Floridians in the Tampa area have a possible Idalia approaching on Wednesday. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

It's been a beautiful day today. Skies have been clear a day or two. So lucky to have a breeze today, which has been missing for nearly a week.

So glad that SXM looks good this week. Unfortunately, Florida looks like it's going to get another f*ng hurricane hit in the state. My property insurance will go up again.....

Looks like we will arrive back in South Georgia just in time for the storm. Fingers crossed (and prayers lifted).

Lesley--thanks. We are far enough inland that hopefully we won't have any damage here, but Florida does NOT need another hurricane!!! Best wishes, CaribLee!

Son, dtr-in-law and 3 grandchildren are expected to visit us in New England from Lake City, FL but it looks like that may not happen due to pending hurricane.

SXM is the place to be or stay longer if you are on vacation and going home to the Florida, Georgia or the Carolinas today or the next few days. The track after it goes into the Atlantic is really strange. Computer models have it looping and heading back to Florida?
