I'm not sure where to start with my report..... assume folks wanna know if there are (m)any changes..... We normally go twice a year (April & October) but missed the April trip this year so some of these changes may have been in place for some time...

Papaguayo has a new retaining wall which obviously helps with the water splashing on the restaraunt. The white plastic tables and chairs are gone except on the porch - replaced with lovely dark-stained wood tables and brown/rattan chairs that look like wood but are really plastic. It looks very nice.

There were alot of new faces. The only one I knew in the bar was Carlos (and Mark one night but I think he said he was leaving soon.) Victor and Bruno are still there. All new faces in Orientique. We had to sign for the beach towels (which were new - bright yellow), safe key and electronic gate card to get in and out.

The new resort manager moved Wine and Cheese to Monday and you MUST have your invitation.

They had taken down the wooden fence and replaced it with a rope fence (that is obviously movable). There was enough beach but not as much in the 'old days'.

Spoke to one owner who said that they had agreed not to make any major changes for at least a year.

We were also told that, soon, they will combine all charges into one. That way, you don't have separate accounts at the bar, desk and store. And I think the massages will go along with that, too. The tips will still remain separate tho.

The new chef was supposed to start Nov. 1 but he did not show up. Forgot to ask if he showed up on the 2nd and we left on the 3rd. Someone said he may be difficult to work with because he speaks NO English.

Over-all, everything goes on pretty much as it always has.

No improvement on the road - if it gets any worse we'll have to have all-terrain-vehicles to get there!!!!!

That's about all I can remember - we had a great trip but never long enough.
