Wow, 3 flights from Miami to SXM, leaving Miami at 8:30 AM, 11 AM and noon. When they had 3 flights before, one left Miami way late, like 5 PM and over-nighted. I would suspect people who were already booked from Miami to SXM for the first six months of next year need to look at their flights, as they may have changed.

Yes. I'll be looking at ours for our returns as we fly back home through MIA June 4. I also fly home though MIA in July too. Both flights going are through CLT in May and July.

I guess that works for others but still not for us. We had a non stop out of PHL to SXM and back again on Saturdays in January for almost 20 years but no longer this coming January 2024. Problem is our time share weeks are in January and I have mobility issues forcing me to use wheel chairs when I fly. It's a real pain when we don't have a direct flight and have to use a wheel chair for a third time.

Does anyone know what the connections are like in MIA? I might be able to find a good fare to SXM via MIA, but have never been through Miami.

MIA connections can be difficult or OK. Depends if you're connecting to SXM or returning. Never had a problem connecting to SXM but returning depends on connection times, whether you have GE, checked bags or how many flights are in same time can make it a little stressful if your flight is delayed leaving SXM.

I think the Saturday only flights from PHL is starting in February. Just check our dates in January and it is still not a non-stop.

Scuba--plus, add the fact that the Miami SkyTrain is currently down. Can make for some very LONG walks for connections.

Looks like first non-stop from Philly is February 17. I wonder if they will add some more flights in later.

Wish they had a later connecting Miami Flight so we did have to get up so early in the Mideast to get to SXM.

Ay yi yi. I'm usually willing to pay a little extra for a direct flight. Looks like this might be one of them. But if I'm flying American from NY to MIA, then connecting to SXM, the gates shouldn't be TOO far apart, should they?

In checking air for friends, I am seeing a PHL flight on Sat. only on the March flights I am looking at. One concern is depending on where one is returning to, there may be a terminal change in PHL. Returning SXM to CVG via PHL shows a 3 hour connection time but with a terminal change. I have changed terminals in PHL going down but I have never returned via PHL so I have no idea if 3 hours is reasonably doable with a terminal change.

We book as far in advance as able once we see a good rate, and expect a lot of changes. Somehow we are on a return from SXM to MIA and then direct to PDX in December all in one day, how this has remained the same is hard to believe but hoping it stays that way and saves me a night along the way. Over our 30 plus trips I think that we were successful getting home in one day once or twice.

I just checked all our flights for May-June-July and so far non have changed. Two going from SEA-CLT-SXM and two going from SXM-MIA-SEA all one day. Fingers crossed.

I would love to see them return the JFK nonstops to SXM but not holding my breath.

Same for me, Todd. I sure jumped on that one when I saw it. I leave on December 13.

Many of us miss the PHL-SXM non stops.
Saturday only is a bummer for us that had Saturday time shares for 30+ years but can now travel during the week to lessen the travel chaos.

If they’re going to add new flights (or reinstate old ones?) Nonstops out of any one of the greater NY airports would be nice!

We received our AA reservation changes yesterday (DTW to SXM), in an email. The original reservations were made in August. The times of our flights have changed, leaving us with a 4 hour layover in Charlotte on the way home, and arriving at 12:30 am the next morning -- as well as unpleasant changes to our so carefully chosen seats on several of our 4 flights. This seems to happen every year and we are so upset with AA. But Delta flights from DTW are ridiculously priced, and the connections are horrible.

KitKat--You should look around to see if there are any better connections for you and call them to see if they will change them. I can't tell how much they changed your flights, but if there is a significant change and you want to cancel, they have to give you your money back. Therefore, they are more likely to let you change for free.

Many reasons not to go through Miami and the SKY TRAIN WAS NOT ONE OF THEM all the flight are a problematic connecting flight in Miami is very difficult I know we are lucky to be able to fly direct from JFK OR LOGAN it was much easier when flying through PR but that changed a long time ago

No complaints with AA. They have supported SXM for decades like no other Airlines has. Years ago they had a very late MIA-SXM flight that overnighted. wish they would bring that one back but doubtful....I hate getting up early.

forever--We flew in on that flight a couple of times. I think it doesn't make economic sense for them to do that, since the plane is out of service for that long, and they have to overnight the crew also.

Flying from Boston we have several options for connecting flights. Over the years, I've tried them all. They all have pluses and minusess. Miami is my least favorite connection. I find the signage poor and the staff invisible. It's a large airport, and without the skytrain you can face a connecting gate miles away.

As I have posted here before, Skytrain is now open, at least most of it. I hate Miami, but at least we personally have a nonstop from there. If you don't have to connect, it's not quite so bad.

I wish they would bring back DFW SXM non stop. That would make our trip easier from the PNW.

Well this past March I used Miami to get Toronto for Baby Zion first year Birthday party , and it sucked because it was delayed after the fact , and was hoping to get to the VIP lounge , but the distance was too much . But did find a Bar and had a couple of White Wine with a splash of cranberry juice . But price was great for First class travel and food lol. But for June for our Birthdays , me and son on the same day , flying direct with West Jet . Me 66 and Son 24 .

Yes it would except every time we've connected through Dallas going or returning we've experienced delays or missed flights.
