week ending 11/29

Pluses- still clean, minimal hurricane damage visible, good food, friendly staff, special restaurants are great.

minuses- confusion at MOBAy about what cab or bus for you to ride in: get on one get off get back on; hot water issues on the A/N side in most rooms, bellmen clueless about (not) knocking on your door after 11 PM yelling "open the door", to deliver non esential things easily left outside or delivered during the next day. Front desk people will tell you they changed your departure time as you asked, then you check the next day and its back to the old time. when leaving there is no 2 PM bus for the 6 people waiting, at 2:20 bellman starts calling around, cab driver is asleep under a nearby tree, he thought it was a 4 pm pickup.
Bar glasses are only very lightly washed in a soup of liquid from the other glasses and very very barely quickly rinsed under a spout. Many room service trays delivered at say 2 Pm sit out all afternoon and all that night (rats? roaches?) and are ignored by other room service and housekeeping people.
At the street dinner the couple with us got up to get more salad and the waiter grapped their plates-- I said hey they are still eating- he grapped the plate of food and said if you leave the table I have to take up the plates which he did.
Had a good time but there are a few warts mostly staff training.

Snorkel boat wrecked on the rocks tuesday, mega holes in bottom.
