What is a good place for me to purchase my wife a bottle or 3 of good wine for her Xmas gift she likes very dry not sweet white wine willing to spend a few hundred. I did a Google search and saw a place in Marigot will be on sxm for 10 days starting on 20th. Since a have a bottle of bourbon to pick up at Gulmohar's already reserved as a good husband I need to make sure she has good wine also. Any suggestions

Le gout du vin in Marigot. They have an excellent selection, plus a knowledgeable and helpful staff.

A better place to go is Select Wine Cellar in Orange Grove. Sylvain is a French Sommelier and he is amazing. His wines are all excellent.

Bacchus in Hope Estate near Orient probably has the largest selection.
Wine does not need to be expensive to be good.

If price is not important, I would chose a French white burgundy (chardonnay).

You can go on the Bachus website and see their entire wine list.
They also sell caviar at a very good price if you wish to indulge.

Roman is usually on site for any assistance.

So I am not a wine drinker at all let me just get that out of the way first lol. My wife on the other hand is what I do know about her preference is not a big fan of sweet wines or chardonnay and most red wine gives her a headache. I know she like Pinot Grigio and prefers dry wines. So where we live French Wine is available but she rarely buys it because of the cost (unless I buy it for here lol). I am not looking to break the bank but I would like to buy her some wine she does not have easy access to here at home hence I'm not looking to buy it from Carrefour. I would like to find her something special and it sounds like some of the places mentioned have what she might like but who knows she might just prefer something from Carrefour. I know we have some very nice places for dinner reserved so I wanted to make sure that the happy hour we have at Condo makes her happy smile because I will have some 12 yr old Weller for Gulmohars and I don't want to share that with her smile Thanks for the suggestions I now have a plan

I also agree with Select Wine Cellar. Sylvain has a wonderful selection, and if you tell him your wife's preferences, he will pick out something great. We have been going there for about 15 years, and also doing a wine tasting party almost every year. Don't be mislead that it's located in a shopping center. it's a hidden gem! While you're there, enjoy a delicious lunch right next door in Sylvain restaurant, Champagne Bistro. You won't be disappointed!
