Unless I read it incorrectly Delta Companion tickets can now be used to fly to the Caribbean including SXM. Available through the AMEX Delta SkyMiles credit card.

I believe this is available on the Reserve Delta Amx (not all of their cards).

I’ve got the Amex Platinum Skymiles card and the new “enhanced companion certificate” will be issued after my next renewal. The card fee is going up to $350 versus the current $250 but now it’s worth keeping the card just to use on our SXM trips!

I have the gold Delta Amex. I saw the fee was going up, but I didn't really see any enchanced benefits.
