Anyone staying on Orient or there now that can give a current wind, seaweed and conditions report? Thanks.

I made a quick drive up by Maho and sand had washed over the road. It was passable but with the wind and waves, they may have to clear it at some point.

How is Simpson Bay? Based on what I see on the weather apps Cupecoy, Mullet, Grand Case and Friars will probably have large waves through today but should calm down after that. Not that I study this stuff, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I prefer the Isle seat

Simpson Bay (from a distance) looks ok. I was a little surprised Maho looked like it did. On Monday Mullet Bay was very nice with the occasional big wave and then it would calm down. The beached sailboat is about 3 or so properties from The Horny Toad and D'Boat (what a disaster and poorly thought-out venture that was) is still stuck in Beacon Hill.

Not a lot of younger people would get the Holiday Inn Express deal.

Simpson Bay is normal this morning but last night it was very windy and the sea was rolling in to shore. No waves but different than the normal calm.
We went to Mullet yesterday hoping to spend a few hours in a lounger but the waves were very big. The waves would curl and spray was coming off the tops. We saw many people horizontal caught in them, and one girl was crying with a damaged shoulder. It was so hot and without a calm spot in the water for us to cool off we left.
Nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night so take this info for what it's worth.

When Mullet Bay is nice, you can't beat it but I have experienced conditions as you mentioned and been rolled a few times in my younger days.

I thought maybe it was just me but the temperature and humidity (along with the water temperature) sure seems more intense this year compared to just a year ago.

I agree that the temperature and humidity is higher than what we're used to.

We may give Orient a shot tomorrow so I will update. What it is today, tomorrow and Tuesday could all be different.

Lol, but man are you right about Mullet J D, we were there on Wed when a couple from Wisonsin put their stuff down and took off to stand by the beach and watch the waves...huge mamas, the gal came back and I just mentioned they may want to leave their sunglasses...she did, he didn t and standing on the beach, a wave reached up and grabbed those glasses so fast, he couldn't t even react...yesterday, Thursday, Orient was too windy for our umbrella, but perfect otherwise...we stopped at a fav place El Rancho for a cocktail and the peacocks were putting on a show😍

Hey, I have yet to see either one of you. You need to hit Lee's for happy hour.
