Any recent experiences on the ferry from St. Thomas to Tortola?

I am wondering if we need to make a reservation. Or just wing it. Arrival next Wednesday and leave on a Saturday. Are the Ferries filling up?

You should be fine. I have not observed a full ferry since the covid rules were dropped.
