After a shaky start we finally made it to La Plage yesterday. MIA was packed. AA1136 left late and landed late. The arrival process was less than spectacular. The line to go thru immigration was actually fairly short, about 30 minutes. 5 planes. Luggage was a different story. 90 minutes wait for 1 of our bags. Lesley Bruce's lovely wife Shirley met us outside and we were off. Check in @ LaPlage was seamless. Great news is that the wifi is now FREE for up to 4 devices!

Dinner @ Tortuga was quite good and then off to bed.

Today is Phillipsburg day.

When we booked our flight and car Leslie asked us if we could try to use carry-on because of the delays at luggage. I did and we were out to him in no time flat but lugging 2 small cases was harder for us than one large one with hubby in wheelchair.

Shirley is just as sweet as her husband. Because he went to Canada for grandson's 1st birthday, she filled in. Usually she's a real estate agent.

Jerry--so two hours altogether from when you landed, or more? At least THAT part is over! Time to enjoy!

Immigration was actually OK. They processed 2 planes in 30 min. We were the second one. Just glad we were not #5. 5 agents stamping passports. They even passed out water. Didn't it used to be a welcome drink??

Wifi is one of those things that I think should be free everywhere. Glad they are doing it there now.

I agree! It sure wasn’t free over Christmas/New Years! Hopefully they will keep it free!
