Looking for recommendations for lunch on the water in Grand Case. NOT the lolos. Is Ocean 82 open for lunch? Is Rainbow still playing ear splitting music? Not interested in LTC, as we ate there last year.

cruzer---of course you would recommend Sunset Cafe. smile Can you drive inside now to park? I don't want to have to park outside and walk.

luvtotravel--I will have to look at their menu again. I was looking for something more upscale, I think.

Balaou is the only place in GC that is on the water I know of: https://www.balaou-restaurant.com/ smile (but I haven't tried it myself so cannot comment on how good it is.)

Balou is for young'uns - party boat with music smile I'd recommend Calmos for lunch.

Carol, have you been to Calmos since they reopened after Irma? We ate dinner there last December, and I'd definitely consider it upscale. Another option is Captain Frenchy.

We had lunch at Tropic's last week (they are beside Captain Frenchy's), and we always find their food to be excellent. On the suggestions about Calmos, I agree they are good for dinner but they are not open for lunch.

Edit to add - if you're looking for more upscale, yes I believe Ocean 82 does serve lunch (although I'm not 100% certain on that).

Georgia==no, have not been there since it reopened. I guess it's not open for lunch anyway.

John--I will check out that menu for Tropic. Hadn't heard of it before. Captain Frenchy's is too casual, not sure? I'm looking to have a nice meal for lunch, and then stay close to 'home' for dinner.

It looks like possibly Ocean 82 doesn't open until 3? First time you can make a reservation is at 3 PM. Since Captain Frenchy's and Tropics are close, maybe we will just walk and check each one out. Any valet parking for either one?

Carol you might want to reconsider Captain Frenchy's.

Four of us had lunch at Captain Frenchys last month . The food and drinks were very good and the service was excellent. We went on a damp day and sat under the “tent” on their deck.

Where in Grand Case that is even near the water can you park close to the place? I would suggest you call Sunset and see if you can park inside for lunch.

Elaine--Already said I'm not interested in LTC.

Todd--For lunch, we have often parked fairly close to the restaurant.

Nice restaurant next to Le Pressoir and across from the parking lot. The owners are from Nice France and so food has that flair. ON the water but not walk-out. Several tables with water view. Great view of Anguilla and Grand Case Beach Club.

Carol, I hope the food hasn't changed because it was so good. They also have a Tapas menu.

OK, how about this: Korner Cafe, located right on the bridge in Grand Case, has really tasty lobster rolls. We discovered it last year and had lunch there twice this year. They have a nice open air covered deck with a great view of water. They are very small, have a nice chef and very good food. It's right next to the parking lot, making it very convenient to get to.

We didn't care for Korner Cafe but as I recall it was the sarcastic owner and the lack of ambience of the place.

Ocean 82 is open for lunch. For something more casual but still nice, we really, really loved our lunch at Captain Frenchy this year. The burger and fries was A+, as were the seafood dishes and the drinks. Service was nice too.

Second Captain Frenchy's, I posted a couple of reports/photos of lunch. You might want to just park and walk and see the choices, a lot has changed and sometimes easier to check out menus/settings in real time.
