I’m Steve Varrow, recently appointed Commodore of the West End Yacht Club here in the beautiful British Virgin Islands. As many of you may know, our club has a long-standing tradition of organizing fun, friendly, and inclusive sailing events—bringing together locals, cruisers, and visiting yachts from around the world.
The West End Yacht Club (WEYC) is not your typical stuffy yacht club. We’re a laid-back, community-driven group with a passion for sailing, camaraderie, and giving back. Our regattas—like the Firecracker Regatta, Foxy’s Wooden Boat Regatta, and the Dark & Stormy—are legendary in the Caribbean and support youth sailing and local charities throughout the year.
