Monday turned out to be a very nice day despite the clouds and rain in the morning. No surprise when you are in paradise! We headed to Club O around 10:30.hardly anybody there. Sargassum was visible along the beach and I have seen much worse and it did not deter from us enjoying the day. The wind was a bit strong but not so that sand was flying and it made for some nice waves in the water. As the day progressed more people arrived and by the afternoon we saw about 20 umbrellas open with couples enjoying the day. We had our first lunch at the perch and hubby had his fix of craving his hotdog which he raves about each year. I had a BLT sandwich with a side salad that did not disappoint. The usual 2 for 1 happy hour created a long line and reminded us of the old days when the line would run almost down to the edge of the water.
We had a brief downpour with high winds that sent everyone running up to the perch for shelter. It did not last long and the sun was back out.
We enjoyed our day at Club O.
Thatnightwe had a lovely dinner at La Trattoria in Orient Bay Village. We shared a appetizer of escargot (best I have had) and hubby had the chicken Parm and I had a special of linguine in truffle oil cooked in the Parmesan wheel. Dessert consisted of chocolate ice cream and a refreshing Lemon sherbet. It was a great first day.

Looked good but what was the protein in the linguine?

Looks like truffle shavings.

We had a large group dinner a couple of years ago at La Trattoria and were quite happy with it, especially with some picky eaters.

Thanks for the reports.
