We are looking to book a short trip beginning of August. We were wondering if the weather is OK. I know it's hurricane season and I'm watching the weather channel, but we like to know from the people on the island how the weather is currently.

The weather is fine. The Sahara sand in the air means that Saba is usually invisible, but most days are pleasant and the snorkeling has been good.
As ever, don't be surprised if you have a short rain shower for 10 minutes or so. Usually the rain doesn't last long.
