We are going back on the island August 7-14. Looks like we will be in between 2 tropical systems. Hopefully weather will be good.

Does anyone on the island can tell me if there is sargassum on mullet/maho/simpson Bay Area beaches?

Usually there isn't any. Mostly on beaches facing the Atlantic not to say it can wash up on a Simpson bay beach notably Mary's Boon and D's.

Maho and Mullett generally you won't find any!! But the other beaches , Mary's Boone and D's beach bar, they have staff that rake's everyday!! You'll be fine!! Have a great trip!!

We are here. Again. lol. Arrived yesterday with westjet at 1:10pm. Security was fast: 15min. I noticed some people didn’t have the entry form filled and they were allowed to enter. Need to find more details about this. Went to market for some groceries then newton’s law took over and we crushed. Tomorrow is philipsburg day. There was an old jewelry store named platini fine jewelry. Anyone knows if is still open?

We are back from philipsburg. The town was deserted, we knew that. There are no ships coming in the harbour for the next 7 days. We found that prices are a little higher than January. Traffic didn’t get the memo that is off season. I would call it infernal. Kim sha beach is beautiful as ever. No sargassum, very little see weed at the bottom of the ocean floor. We are ok with that. Another beautiful day in paradise.
