Not sure if thier website changed but want to make sure we are purchasing proper coverage as we had in previous years

Looking to cover our 3 week stay

Seems the $22.00 daily rate covers both persons on trip

Any suggestions will be recommended and how do we give credit to Carol?

Appreciated

mahokid--If you click on the link here on TTOL, we will get credit for the booking. Sorry I don't know the answer to your question.

I’ve had an annual subscription to SkyMed for over 15 years and actually had to use it to transport my husband off SXM after he fell and broke his hip. The folks in the office are pretty terrific. When you call to arrange your coverage just tell them you came thru this site. They have relationships with a number of feeders and will know what you are talking about.

We use GeoBlue. It offers both the medical and emergency evacuation in one policy. I believe Skymed's emergency evacuation gets you home where as GeoBlue and others get you to the nearest medical facility that can handle your emergency.

thank you Jaybird

this is not somewhere where less expansive is the way to go and we are taking all into consideration

I do prefer the coverage to get to home hospital

certainly appreciate any other suggestions

mahokid--we personally always buy a comprehensive policy, which covers a bunch of things. Sky Med ONLY does medical evac.

I know there are resources listed on ttol, but I have found many other resources online. I go to squaremouth.com. Their site lists many different providers and you can compare each ones offerings to find what you want.

bob and boucharda--If a person books insurance through the link here on TTOL for Insure My Trip, you can definitely compare insurance policies side by side, and TTOL gets a small commission.

Just saw this, just to make sure. The $22.00 covers both my wife and I, correct? I went to the website and put the information in. Didn't see where it covers us both.

Yes the price includes both.

I did go through insure my trip from above and decided to have primary coverage for medical and evacuation

I was not worried about trip interruption even though that is the most likely to occur, thus by emitting this coverage the cost were greatly reduced

I didn't see an option for medical. How much extra was it.

sunlover--I'm confused as to which company you are talking about, but if you are talking about SkyMed, I don't think they offer medical, just trip evacuation. If you go to Insure my Trip, just pick "comprehensive" and you will find all kinds of coverages.

Surprised Jeff B hasn't chimed in. He could seize the moment.
