Caught the first boat at 1000am over to pinel island from cul de Sac
$12 round trip person person

Drove past the old momo's restaurant if anyone remembers him, quite a host

We met our Italian friends and son for trip over as he had already been there last week and reserved 4 front rows loungers which we never sat in

2 front row chairs and umbrella is 35 euros
We were quickly attended to by Marvin who spoke good English and was delight

My wife and myself enjoyed a bottle of rose while our Italian friends were recovering from the day before chatting with a very wealthy person who is hoping to develop in anse Marcel
This might be interesting if it pans out as I hear the plans
Funny as my Italian friend is a high end arts dealer in Turin and his sxm rental car got smashed by this local rich guy
They may be partnering up in the future
What a way to step into a business deal

It was a beautiful day just floating and chatting in the calm clear water
So cute how children not even speaking the same language play with each other.

Around 1230pm we break for lunch perfering to eat at yellow beach restaurant and not at our loungers.

I enjoyed a couple more glasses of rose while wife enjoyed her usual mojito
Service was so friendly with a varied menu to choose from although prices are a little high but there isn't much other choices since you are on an island

We shared a typical combination plate of fried mozzarella, calamari and cod fritters. Nicely presented and just fine.

Earlier we watched with almost everyone as buckets of fresh lobster were placed in cages in the water.
Maybe a sales tactic but it works

We kept it respectable and picked out roughly 3 pounder for 120 euros
They go for 85 euros pet kilo (2,2 pounds)

Lobster just tastes better when at a beach bar
The meat was sweet and flavorful but not nearly ad good as when in maine and at about a third the price

We pay the days total at the end before departing with all costs for the beach. Beach service and lunch all together which is convenient.

They do offer one for one if paying cash but unfortunately I didn't bring enough cash

Total for chairs, bottle of wine, 2 glasses, 1 mojito, 1 bottle water, appetizer and lobster was 245 euros

The memories endless.

Time to yardsale the refrigerator (ski term)
But I mean use stuff up before moving tomorrow morning.

So yes Carib Lee i do cook dinner once in a while besides my daily breakfast ham. Egg, and cheese crossiant

Super u mushroom ravioli with lardons (bacon), cherry tomatoes in a olive oil butter (simple but good), along with a super U foccia like bread heated up with some extra virgin olive oil and basalmic reduction

Hopefully planning day trip to Anguilla on Friday as I have a brother from another mother over there and only see him once a year

We did have friendly iguanas join us for lunch taking food directly from our hands and some of them were almost 3 feet long

Great review!
Can you give us an overview of the sargassum situation on Orient and Pinel?
Cheers,

Pinel perfectly clear but cul de Sac where boat leaves from is usually very bad

Orient has that funky smell with sargassum on beach but minimum in water

Friars bay few days ago perfectly cleat.

Hopefully mullet on Thursday

Didn't notice any on maho today and some of the beach is back

I saw a video reel posted on Facebook today showing they released the pond flo at Friers today. Wouldn't want to swim there for awhile.
