It should be $45 for two people and that includes 1 free bag per person. Below is an image showing additional rates and info.

Just be sure to ask what the cost is before you get into the taxi. Be advised it is more after dark also.

Ballpark €60-€80 day rate from SXM to Orient Village; later or holiday runs cost more. If you want the number locked in advance, Transfeero has a flat fare and meet-inside pickup so you skip the queue. Either way, it’s ~30 minutes door to door when traffic behaves

60-80 sounds off the grid to me. Here is an overview of taxi fares including the 2022 law. The problem you get is the binationality of it all - the zones don't include fixed tariffsto the other side.

But look at the govt table in link. If Airport to Dawn Beach costs 40 us for two persons, how can they charge 60 or even 80 for Orient? Dawn Beach is about same distance as French Quarter. From there it is 5 min to Orient. To me, this shd be 40 to 45. So I could imagine your cab driver picking you up personally is nice, but seems he charges at a minimum 15 bucks for it. Having said that, if you come with luggage extra he could charge for that.

I remember when it was $10/head. $80 for one ride says rental all the way.
