For $10.00 I ordered the "special", a combination of chicken and lamb overstuffed into a pita with lettuce, tomatoes and special sauce. There is plenty of sauce which reminds me of a combination of taziki and Ceasar dressing. It is so good.
We also shared a falafel plater with 5 falafel balls, petite salad, hummus and babagounash with pita for dripping.

Winding down our time on the island, we aren't as fussy on where to eat dinner. We head over to simpson bay with 4 places in mind. We check out the menu at vesna tavern whose menu is not on line since new owners took over. They are from our former area where we used to live in Pennsylvania. The menu didn't jump out at me and I wished them luck.
Narrowed down to return visits to pineapple Pete's or Jai or a first visit to Pizza Italy.
Pizza Italy was our good choice as we sat on the breezy side of the open air casual restaurant. Manager Sharif always remembers what my wife's drinks from year to year, That's amazing to me.

For entrees we shared a very good meat lasagna and a carbonara pizza with prosciutto and egg. Fairly thin chewy crust, it hit the spot and the leftovers will make a good lunch.
Unfortunately in the slow season the homemade Gelato is not available but we did enjoy the complimentary limoncella shot. Meal with two drinks, a beer, salad, pizza, lasagna, 15% gratuity added came out under $100.00 with leftovers
